Descrição completa

Contexto da oportunidadeAbrirFechar

Toradex is a global company strongly focused on engineering & technology. We’re powered by a diverse & uniquely gifted workforce. We pursue the best people to propel our innovative vision of embedded computing and IoT. If you’re interested in being a driving force at an agile technology company, engineering clever computing solutions & helping other companies bring their products to life, we should talk.

Description

Every Toradex Linux image is booted and tested several hundred times on real hardware before it ships. You'll own the software system that makes that possible: a hardware-in-the-loop CI/CD pipeline that builds Yocto/Torizon images and validates them on a physical board farm of Toradex SoMs.

The existing setup is a full stack from Jenkins and BuildBot builds to the hardware sitting in shelfs via custom-designed controllers and LAVA. You will work in the team that owns the Software Infrastructure driving the builds and hardware testing. You’ll expand our build system and help Toradex grow its on-prem build farm.

This role spans the whole path: server deployment, pipeline orchestration, job dispatch, device control, systems administration and the reporting that engineers actually trust to gate a release.

About youAbrirFechar

You're an engineer who designs and evolves CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling as first-class software.

You write clean, maintainable Python and treat build and deployment infrastructure with the same rigor as production code.

You understand the whole pipeline and can make failures observable, so a boot failure on a real device produces an actionable report instead of a mystery.

You understand business trade-offs and how they live with the release process the infrastructure gates.

You care about reproducibility, fast feedback loops, and keeping build and test cycles short.

You deeply understand Linux or Embedded Linux and keep up-to-date with the latest developments in the OS community.

Skills

Required:

Strong Python for automation tooling: CLIs, job templating, pipeline logic, device control, reporting. Experience in other languages and an appetite to learn is welcomed.

Solid CI/CD expertise (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Actions), including pipeline design, shared libraries, and gating strategy.

Docker and container-based deployment, plus experience keeping build and runtime environments reproducible.

Experience keeping automation infrastructure reproducible and maintainable, with a focus on known-good state and version control.

Excellent Git skills.

Linux systems administration (services, udev, networking).

Comfort reasoning about embedded Linux boot flows at a functional level (serial consoles, TFTP/NFS boot, U-Boot) even if you don't work at the hardware layer day to day.

Excellent communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage)

Available to work Hybrid from Toradex Office in Campinas/SP.

Nice to HaveAbrirFechar

Comfort close to hardware: flashing, recovery, and working with power/reset/recovery lines on a backplane.

LAVA or another hardware-in-the-loop / board-farm framework (labgrid etc.).

Yocto / OpenEmbedded / bitbake build systems.

Ansible and infrastructure automation; build-farm scaling (sstate caches, ephemeral cloud workers).

Experience with Server Management Infrastructure and observability stacks such as Grafana, Cockpit, Zabbix etc.
