You will lead a team of backend engineers responsible for the design and evolution of DoorDash’s Resolution Center platform. Your focus will be on building and scaling the systems that power Credits and Refunds, operational interventions, and resolution workflows across self-help, chatbot, voicebot, and agent-assisted channels.
You will partner closely with Product, Machine Learning, Fraud, Data Science, and Strategy & Operations to define and deliver a roadmap that integrates ML-driven decisions, workflow orchestration, and strong configuration safeguards into high-volume production systems. Own the migration of resolution workflows to the unified stack, ensuring data continuity, reliability, and zero regression in production systems.
Partner with Machine Learning teams to productionize AI-driven C&R models and integrate them safely into high-volume workflows.
Shape the long-term architecture of a decision engine that balances personalization, fraud prevention, and business guardrails.
Improve configuration safety by implementing validation tooling, staged rollouts, and guardrails to reduce operational risk.
Mentor engineers in distributed systems design, experimentation frameworks, and platform excellence.
Foster a culture of ownership, velocity, and strong cross-functional collaboration.

BS, M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science or related field
2+ years of experience in people management, leading eading backend/platform teams of 5+ engineers
7+ years of industry experience
Experience working with remote teams in different time zone(s) and fluency in English
Extensive experience as an engineer in a fast-paced, product-focused development environment
Experience with distributed system design, system scaling, and performance optimization
Hands-on leadership and strong product intuition
Humility - willing to get into the details and open to feedback
